  1. Update: Xeroweight

    Dear users,

We do sincerely apologize for the lack of updates.

First and foremost, we are still in business.

Our users deserve an explanation of the lack of updates and where we are going next.

    Where we are at now:

We are a very modest team who have to make ends meets, running other jobs and often FlashBack taking a back seat. We have poured thousands of hours and hundreds of thousands of our own money into this project.

None of the team wish to abandon the project, although often we do for periods of time to bring food to…

    • Update: We are still functioning.

Rumors of closing down are not true. The news of the company going bankrupt from the links shared is in fact new news to us. These are administration issues unrelated to our product. Which we still support, as per our update below:

          • Allow purchased version to delete oldest backups first once backup drive is full.

Whenever the destination backup drive is full, Flashback stops backing up until space is cleared. Manually going back and deleting old backups takes a long time, and such a simple concept of allowing an option of deleting oldest backups automatically should be available to paying customers.

              • Can't restore

OK I'm trialling your software, seemed good and I had faith in in. So much so that I backed up my whole drive and reset windows to default as it wasn't running well.

Now I can't get my files out of the Flashback recovery tool. When I "Mount" the drive, I don't have access to the users folder where all my stuff is, because I now have a new windows account (copying NTFS permissions??? WHY?!?!?!) Unfortunately, the mount is read only, so there's no way of changing the permissions from what I can see.

so I try other ways right…

I t dose not matter what address you provide the message remiansd and no payment option is provided. I have emailed support twice about this but no response from AX64 . I have been loyal customer since V1 but at this rate I might look at the alternatives

                      • Unable to Mount Backup

Running Flashback 2.0.0.703 on Windows 10 Anniversary Update (x64).

When I mount a backup it says "Successfully mounted the backup!" However, there is no mounted drive. The option to unmount hasn't been enabled, and the option to mount is still there.

                        • Fix the drivers

I am a 4 license holder. I thought I would try loading the latest build (703) of this software after experiencing problems in the past. I run Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. "XWMount.sys" & "XWTrack.sys" Are recognized as unverified drivers at boot time, and Windows will not load them. Are you aware of this? Do you plan on fixing this?

                          • Provide options with respect to junctions

Whether a backup program respects junctions or ignores them is probably quite important (and might be at the root of Flashback's failure to backup my logical D drive, because my downloads folder is a junction.) So there should be an option, when specifying a backup, as to whether junctions are followed or ignored.

last I had to wipe my entire C drive for some reason and with active kill disk, all gone, after experiments with virusses on my pc

when i reinstalled ax64,the 1.4 or the 2.0 no difference he complained he could not find the partition info, so i guess ax64 makes a hidden partition with info on previous backups, right ?
so when i destroy all data on that drive that hidden partition is also gone so can no longer return to the previous backups, so would in fact have to start from scratch or in…
