Recovery process needs to wait for external backup drive to come online

I save my backup files to an external USB3 hard drive. Today I tried to restore my C: drive. Using the program in Windows 7 I try to perform a Hot restore and Flashback reboots the machine. During the reboot Flashback looks for the backup source file on my external drive and then quickly displays the error message "it cannot find the source file". A few seconds later my external drive spins up and comes online, but too late for the Flashback restore process as it decides to reboot the computer without doing anything. So the restore process needs to wait like 30 seconds checking for slow booting external drives to come online before deciding it cannot fine the backup source file. I'm using Flashback 2.0.0.703. I got around the problem by using the "Rescue Media CD" I created to perform the restore, which is a pain as this method takes much more time to get the job done.
